Darlings, after 2 solid days of red carpet crack, let's all take a breather (and by "all," we mean T and Lo) and just look at pretty pictures of a celebrity in non-cracky clothes. And we don't care what you say; that striped monkey Prada dress is FABULOUS and not cracky at ALL.

But first, actress noises:

"I didn’t like my body and I looked in the mirror and thought I was ugly because I didn’t look like a normal girl."

"I’m an actor," she pronounces. "I’m not a socialite. I’m playing a character, I’m playing versions of myself. For me, it’s important to be a chameleon."

[While shooting Mamma Mia! and dating British actor Dominic Cooper] "I miss London so much," she whispers. "Really. It’s bad. It’s not something that keeps me warm at night, for sure."

[On her relationship with Cooper] "Never date somebody who doesn’t live in your own country. It’s heartbreaking and confusing and it makes you go a little bit nuts. You don’t know where they sleep at night… You start second guessing everything."

As for the pics, we don't love them as much as the ones she did for Interview magazine, but there's a considerable difference Between Interview and Marie Claire. She's still striking and looks good on camera, though.

Another step closer to world domination.

If you've drooled over Christian Siriano's runway confections but bemoaned the fact that you can't afford them, darlings? We have good news. Christian has a new collection for Spiegel, described as, "twelve pieces. from an origami cocktail dress to an haute-couture-inspired suit." The collection will be available in April and you can pre-order pieces now if you're the impatient type. Prices range from $49 to $449.00.

Let's take a look, shall we?


Nice. He managed to retain a lot of his runway aesthetic at this price point. Plenty of drama and ruffles, but scaled down to an average consumer level.

• Look for an Aerial Battle - At this time of year, the kids and I tend to notice small birds engaged in battle with a larger bird in the distance overhead. Keep watch on the sky; do you see a turf battle? A hawk hunting for newly hatched baby birds? What can you find?
  
• Make Your Own Fossil - Take a small box, tape both sides and remove one side of the box. Fill the box with mud and press objects, such as shells, rocks, leaves, or sticks into the mud and bring the boxes inside to dry.

My Take on the Book 
This book was full of great ideas that will get your family on the path to good health. Best of all, most activities are set for fun connection between parents and their children and the author does a ton to convince the kids to make the best of both inside and outside play.


This book was very practical! With the fact that it is set up by month and day you have something for anyone. The book was easy to use and to flip through. You are easily able to pick up new ideas even if your family already enjoys being outside!

I definitely plan to try out more of these ideas in the near future and so should you!

We can't tell if this is a dress or a jumpsuit. Either way, it gets a thumbs up just because this is the cleanest and most polished we've seen her look in a long time. She usually looks like she's been up for 72 hours in the same dress. However, if this IS a jumpsuit, then we might have to declare undying love because it's so very Ann-Margret in Tommy. If this IS a bell-bottomed jumpsuit, then we hope there were egg chairs at the party. If it's not, then good job, Celestia. Keep up the good work.

Ashley Fink

She looks kind of cute and we appreciate some of the choices here, but it's a little schizo. The dress flatters her and looks good on her. We hope she doesn't think she has to wear black, because a rich color would play well off her pale skin. The thing is, this just isn't a dress that pairs well with ballet flats, especially with that gigantic necklace. There are looks you can put together for an event like this that will go quite well with flats, but this isn't one of them.

Boring.

Garcelle Beauvais

A standard dress, ramped up through the deployment of attitude and fierce hair. We can almost forgive the matching gold bag and shoes.

Jenna Ushkowitz

This is the best she's ever looked on the red carpet. It's a skosh tight on her, though. Love the hair and makeup.

Jessica Lowndes

Hate all these dresses with high waists and super short skirts. We suspect everyone thinks it makes the wearer look taller, but we just think it makes them look a little freakish.

A very pretty dress; a flawless look.

Lance Bass

There's no reason he should be wearing a tux that large. Unless there's been dramatic developments in the waistline of America's Favorite Formerly Famous Gay Person of which we are unaware, he's not fat. He can work a more fitted look. This ages him.

Loretta Devine

Oh honeybear, no. This has Lane Bryant written all over it. There are so many better ways to go for a lady of size, sweetie. Get yourself a chubby gay. He'll steer you right.

The dress wouldn't bother us if it wasn't in that "eighties bathroom" peach, but the real story here is the makeup. She looks like she sneezed into a loaded powder puff. And then someone slapped her real hard on both cheeks.

Considering how godawful Mick Jagger looked that night, we can't really fault Steven here. We kind of like her look. It's got the gaudy, rock and roll quality you want to have if you're attending Elton John's Oscar party as Steven Tyler's date.

What the shit is this? Did Lauren Bacall send her a loaner for the night? Or did she snag this from the estate sale of Gloria Stuart?
