Seneca Farms Fruit & Oatmeal - Has Oatmeal Ever Tasted So Good?

It’s not groundbreaking news that breakfast provides us and our kids with the nutrition and fuel our bodies need.  And we all know that eating oatmeal and other whole grains are an essential part of a healthy diet and promote overall good health.  But, busy mornings and finicky kids can make it hard to find the time to make something that is both nutritious and delicious.

 Did you know that*…
  • Nearly 60% of U.S. parents of children ages 3-17 admit that their child skips breakfast, with more than half of U.S. Moms wishing their child ate a more nutritious breakfast.
  • 58% of U.S. Moms say they skip breakfast regularly. 46% of Moms who skip breakfast say they do so because they do not have enough time to prepare or eat it.
  • 57% of single adults say the number one reason they skip breakfast is that they don’t have enough time to prepare it.
  • While 71% of U.S. adults agree that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, 67% of those admit to skipping breakfast.
*Results of 2011 Children's Nutrition Survey, conducted by Harris Interactive for Seneca Farms

Seneca Farms Oatmeal & Fruit – launched on April 4 at Wal-Mart – is the perfect choice for anyone who has trouble finding time for breakfast in the morning.  In less time than it takes to make a cup of coffee, heat the six-ounce microwaveable cup – no milk or water necessary – in the microwave for 45 seconds.  Seneca's Oatmeal & Fruit has no trans fats or cholesterol, and is a great source of Vitamin C.   Two initial flavors are being introduced – Apple Cinnamon and Vanilla Peach.   More flavors and retailers will be added in the coming months.

Seneca Farms Oatmeal & Fruit is not only a quick and healthy breakfast option, but it is a satisfying mid-afternoon snack and it even works as part of a healthy weight loss plan for those looking to lose or maintain weight loss

My Take on the Product
I eat oatmeal all the time and usually mix in fruit (for me most of the time it is raisins). This new product from, Seneca Farms takes Oatmeal and Fruit to the next level. With its east to use containers this product was a quick and easy breakfast (or even dessert) option for parents and kids alike. Consistency wise, the oatmeal comes out very well, not too runny but instead, just right.

The only two things of warning with this product that I put out there is that if you warm up the product like it says to in the product directions, the contents can get quite warm, and the cups tend to keep it warm for quite some time as well. Second, this product has a high sugar content (22 grams) in one cup, which equates to close to two poptarts. So just be aware that with good tasting things sometimes come caveats.

Though I have shared the above two caveats, I would get these again, as they were delicious, and though higher in sugar, they also were high in many other valuable nutrients as well. So go and check out this new Oatmeal today! If you are so inclined, go and get a coupon today as well here!

The Perfect Accessory For Your Car, Truck or Minivan
My Take on the Product
Some as seen on TV items that I have tried in the past were not worth the money that I put into the product, but this one definitely was. When I received this product I was happy to find that it fit nicely over the side of our car seat for our youngest. I know that for us as parents, we are always dealing with things falling on the floor of our minivan as we are going on trips (Sound familiar?). If J-Mom and I are both in the van we can handle this as it happens, but if we are alone with the kids, we either have to stop the car, or let the consequences fall where they may.

What was nice about this new product was that it allowed us to start the trip with everything right there in the basket. This doesn't mean that they will remain there for the entire trip, but there is a much higher chance of success!

All-in-all, I was impressed with the simplicity and practicality of the design, as it is definitely something that was developed with the parent in mind.

If you no longer want to lose those pesky items, try the Kiddie Catch-All!

Right now for a limited time you can purchase the Kiddie Catch-All as Buy One Get One. From what I have learned, this offer will only continue until they get ready to release these in retail stores, so act soon!

Dapper Snappers, A Great Way to Help Those Skinny Minnies!

Adjustable Toddler Belt

Dapper Snappers to the rescue

Fix Droopy Drawers in a Snap!

Imagine this… You’re getting the kids dressed in the morning and discover that, lo and behold, your smallest darling has had a nighttime growth spurt and all his pants are too short. “Thank goodness for hand-me-downs,” you think as you raid your preschooler’s outgrown clothes from last year.

You slide them up and snap them, concentrating on the cuffs, delighted to see they are the correct length…until you let go of the clasp and the waist shimmies down to the poor child’s thighs! Ugh…the length is good but the waist is too big.

Solution: The mom-invented Dapper Snapper.

Simply slip the ends through the back belt loops on any pair of pants and snap to the correct size! The Dapper Snapper makes any pair of pants with belt loops into adjustable waist pants. And now with Dapper Snappers Clips, you can use Dapper Snappers on pants without belt loops! Extend your child’s wardrobe and save with a Dapper Snapper! It’s perfect for potty training toddlers; no bunched up fabric near the button or snap and zipper so it’s easier for little fingers to take care of business. With Dapper Snappers, you can Fix Droopy Drawers in a Snap!

Dapper Snappers are:

  • Affordable
  • Versatile in a wide range of colors for girls belts and boys belts
  • Recommended for ages 9 mo-6 yrs and One Size Fits All
  • Perfect for kids who are in between sizes or wearing hand-me-downs!
  • Convenient – no need to remove for diaper changes & doesn’t impede potty training
  • Made in the USA
  • Mom-invented
  • Compliant with CPSIA regulations. http://www.DapperSnappers.com/safety
My Take on Dapper Snappers
If your family is like mine you have kids that are what we call Skinny Minnies. Skinny with longer legs... the problem with this, pants don't tend to like to stay up on their torso! Prior to finding the Dapper Snapper we we forced to search high and low for skinny pants (or at least that is what I call them).

The idea of this product is a great one. Provide a kids belt that is stylish and easy to use, but most of all, simply does its job and that is to cinch up the waist and help parents keep the pants on their children (as no one needs to see the sagging pant look).

Overall, I was quite impressed by the product. It was easy to use and definitely lived up to the expectations! We used this on our youngest who has had problems like this for a long time. I was surprised at how quickly the Dapper Snapper solved the issue, cinched up the waistline (tastefully) and allowed her to wear pants that before stayed unworn in her drawer. So thank you Dapper Snapper for coming up with a product that truly makes my life easier!
