ABOUT POCOYO:
Following the adventures of three-year-old Pocoyo, the CGI series brings children into the bright world of an inquisitive and fun-loving boy and his animal friends, Elly (the elephant), Pato (the duck) and Loula (the dog).
This multi-award winning series, about curiosity and imagination, tolerance and respect, love and laughter, can be seen every day at 4:25 pm on Nick Jr. Packed with color, music and vibrant visual images, the series is both educational and entertaining, encouraging preschoolers to “learn through laughter.”
The vibrant and exuberant world of Pocoyo comes to life with a range of toys available nationwide at Toys”R”Us stores, and http://www.toysrus.com/.
The toy line includes:
  • 6-Inch Mini-Plush Assortment - Preschoolers can take Pocoyo and his friends Elly, Pato and Loula where ever they go
  • Squeeze n’ Play Plush - Plush Pocoyo, Elly and Pato play popular music from the show when preschoolers squeeze their tummies
  • Bath Figures - 2.5-inch figures of Pocoyo and Elly have a special water squirting chamber, while Pato floats along
  • Pocoyo Water Taxi - Scuba Pocoyo and friends can float in the tub or be pushed along the floor
  • Bump n’ Go - Pocoyo zooms around in his racing car while music plays! If the car hits an obstacle, it stops, moves back and makes a U-turn

With more than 350 million hits on YouTube® and more than 27 million content downloads from the official Pocoyo website, the series, licensed in over 100 territories worldwide, is recognized as a global hit property. In addition to the successful TV series, the virtual world Pocoyoworld.com has attracted more than 11 million unique visitors, enabling children and care-givers to share a host of fun and educational activities with their favorite characters. Also, the ‘Pocoyize’ application has proved a huge hit, allowing users, either online or via iPhone®, to create their own Pocoyo-style avatar by choosing details such as hair style, clothes, skin color and eyes. Approximately 10 million people have been ‘Pocoyized’ to date, and the iPhone application has received an impressive 500,000 downloads in the United States alone, in addition to being a Top 5 seller in both Spain and Japan.

Pocoyo has attracted a host of international accolades including a prestigious BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) for Best Animated Preschool Series, three Pucinella Prizes at Italy’s Cartoons on the Bay Festival and Best TV Series at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France.

My Take on Build-A-Bear Workshop
Ever since I was younger I have liked stuffed animals and my girls have the same affinity. Though this has been the case we typically have given stuffed animals ever now and again. We have never had the opportunity to bring them to Build-A-Bear Workshop in the past, though we know that they would simply love it. With this in mind we decided to go and bring the girls to make a Valentines Treat with the help of a $25 giftcard provided from Build-A-Bear Workshop.

In going into the shop, we let the girls decide what they wanted to make. Diva-PJ decided to make the Girl Lady Bug (See below). Diva-J was different and decided to make the Love Bear (see above). Both girls loved the process and filling the animals and being able to press the buttons and levers to assist in the making of the stuffed animals.

Being able to do this, we were able to see how much they appreciated it, and I could tell that this is something that we will have to do this again in the near future. There were so many other people that were in the store, I could tell that the store itself brought so much happiness to others, which is something that I always look for.

I would highly recommend this store and the holiday line that they have available!

Cartoon Network's Generator Rex - New toys and episodes!

Cartoon Network’s hottest new action-adventure series, Generator Rex is back..and this time, he’s got toys.

On the heels of last year’s series debut on Cartoon Network, during which it was a top rated show for both boys 6-11 and kids 9-14, the Generator Rex animated series last week premiered brand new episodes during Cartoon Network’s action block on Friday nights at 8pm (ET/PT).  Along with this broadcast debut, global toymaker Mattel has created a full line of toys based on the series’ main character, 15-year-old Rex that is currently available wherever toys are sold.
    TOYS FROM MATTEL!
Action Figures!: A range of 4” action figures based on Rex and some of his most powerful weapons like Smack Hands Rex and Battle Saw Rex, as well as villains Van Kleiss and Combat Claws Biowulf
Deluxe Action Figures and Evo Assortments!  Capturing all the action and thrills of the animated series, fans can use these deluxe toys to act out scenes and invent their own adventures!  Featuring an awesome EVO villain and a jar of Nanite Goo to fill the EVO and watch it ooze, these figures feature the coolest accessories for EVO-fighting!
Vehicles!: Fans can access some of Rex’s awesome, versatile vehicles from the series for the chance to reenact their favorite battle scenes!
CARTOON NETWORK PROGRAMMING NOTES: GENERATOR REX (TV-PG)
Fridays at 8 p.m. (ET, PT)
Rex is 15, and like most 15-year-old boys, he likes cars, girls, music and sports.  But unlike most 15-year-old boys, he can make his fists the size of boulders, sprout a jet pack out of his back and turn his legs into a lightning-fast motorcycle.  These talents are extremely useful to Providence, a global organization chartered to fight mutant creatures known as E.V.O.s (Exponentially Variegated Organism).  Rex is under their care and is their ultimate weapon.  Generator Rex takes place in the aftermath of a global accident, where microscopic machines known as nanites have merged with every living thing.  For a select few, the nanites mutate their hosts into monstrous creatures called E.V.O.s.  Rex is one such E.V.O., but unlike the monsters he and Providence battle, Rex has control over his nanites.  He alone has the ability to not only control these nanites—allowing him to create amazing mechanical limbs and gadgets that aid him in battle—but also heal E.V.O.s of their mutation.  Rex is joined by a team of characters including his sidekick, a highly intelligent monkey named Bobo Haha, his mentor Agent Six, the brilliant Dr. Holiday and Noah, a regular kid and Rex’s friend.  Tune in Fridays at 8 p.m. (ET, PT) to see Rex face his evil foe, an evil E.V.O. named Van Kleiss, while trying to be a normal teenager.
    UPCOMING EPISODES:
    • Friday, Feb. 11:  “Waste Land” – Rex and Six go deep sea diving and discover an entire civilization of evo fish—and they aren’t happy!

    • Friday, Feb. 18:  “Lost Weekend” – Rex and newly-graduated cadet Kenwyn are forced to work together.
