James Franco for Vogue Hommes International

Wash and wear.

Legendary awards show host James Franco posed for Vogue Hommes International's Spring/Summer issue, before the lens of creepy, one-note Terry Richardson. Some folks around the internet found the presence of body hair on the cover of a men's fashion magazine to be in shockingly poor taste. We're not quite so prissy, although we do think the composition of that cover is extremely odd.

As for the inside shots...

There's nothing to them, from either a style or photography perspective. Terry Richardson, it seems, has nothing to say as an artist if he can't do upskirt shots. The flat Polaroid-style lighting is so damn over-used at this point, and there are practically no clothes to look at. These are the kind of pics you upload to your Facebook profile, not the kind you should see in a magazine with the word "Vogue" in the title.

Due to a sense of morbid curiosity coupled with Sunday night boredom, we watched the execrable Eat Pray Love last night (although Lorenzo headed off to bed with a half-hour left to go on this endless film). Franco had a relatively small part, but even so, he was a total charisma void. A nothing on screen. We've seen him in plenty of performances we've liked, but we sometimes think the praise he gets as an actor is a bit overstated.
